Police check the hot Honda Jazz after it crashed to a halt last night

Fast and Furious Driver in a Honda Jazz Pursued by Phuket Police

Friday, September 6, 2013
PHUKET: A driver on a fast and furious mission to put his low-slung modified silver Honda Jazz to the test gave Phuket police the runaround last night.

First reports of the hot vehicle came about 9.30pm from people in Saphan Hin who noticed the driver going fast around streets of the Phuket City park that only becomes an official race circuit once or twice each year.

That's where a police pursuit began. The driver took off through Phuket City and shot past Surakul Stadium and Central Festival with officers calling on ahead.

Tungthong police blocked the road but the driver saw what lay ahead and squealed a u-turn. Eventually, outside the Makro store, the driver crashed at a second roadblock and was dragged from his vehicle.

Hot-wheeler Pitak Bualert, 23, was being questioned by police last night as officers prepared to lay charges.

Thanks for not killing innocent people in your need for speed. Remember you can either be quick or dead or a murderer of innocent others.

Why do I have the feeling that so many people here in this country belief they are good drivers, just because they dare to go fast. I know it happens in every country, and especially younger people have the need for speed, but if you are caught in Europe or the states, or Australia, the fine will be sky high. And if it happens again, you can forget your driver license and/or vehicle. Here they got a slap on the wrist. This should change.

I like him.

Why calling the cops at all? The car wasn't even stolen.

I will call the cops on the tuktuk mafia tonight, suggesting road blocks between patong and karon about 9:30 pm.

Young Thai men!
One of The biggest problem for Thailand.
Reading the news, almost always they are involved in shooting, rapes, scams, violence, drugs dealing, traffic accidents, lately the death of two Chinese tourists in an boat accident(driver 24) etc etc.
Keep an sharp eye when you close to these elements, especially night time.

Editor Comment:

Jails everywhere are full of young men, cw. You would be mistaken if you think it is only young men in Thailand.
