PHUKET: A German man was found dead in his home on Phuket today when a friend came calling.
The friend dropped by the house in Kamala, near the Muslim cemetery, where the German man lived alone, about 2pm.
When his knocks on the door gained no response, he alerted officers at Kamala Police Station.
Officers and paramedics gained entry, said Lieutenant Colonel Navin Petchjan, and found the 65-year-old man dead inside.
''All indications are that his death came from a preexisting condition but we will not be able to say precisely what caused the death until a thorough medical examination has been performed,'' the lieutenant colonel said.
Phuketwan has the man's name but will not publish it until we can be sure that relatives have been notified.
