HeadStart aims to be the first registered school in Thailand awarded the prestigious ''Green Flag'' under the Eco Schools Global Program.
The school's young warriors worked diligently for hours to clean rubbish off one of Phuket's most beautiful beaches.
Ms Fiona Scott, Deputy Head at HeadStart told Phuketwan: ''Our team of super heroes and eco-warriors aim to take small steps to help save the world over the next two years of the program.
''Phuket is such a beautiful place but we risk causing further environmental damage if we don't start making changes now.''
The launch of the school's Eco Club is the first step towards making HeadStart an internationally recognised, environmental friendly school.
The Eco-Schools Global Program is an initiative that encourages young people to engage in their environment by allowing them the opportunity to actively protect it.
The program aims to motivate students to tackle environmental problems; first within the school and later in the wider community.
Shane, 12, told Phuketwan: ''Trash is bad for people and it causes pollution around the world. The best part of today is cleaning up the beach and having fun in the water.''
During the program, students learn about environmental issues including bio-diversity, nature, climate change, energy, global citizenship, changing habits, health and wellbeing, litter, transport and waste disposal.
''This program also allows our students to experience a sense of achievement at being able to have a say in environmental policies at our school,'' Ms Scott said.

Goodonya kids..maybe ask some of Phuket's governance, resort management and perhaps jet ski/para sail operators to help out or donate..when they are not too 'busy' 'working' or in important 'meetings' of course. Never know they may even stand you a gala lunch!!??
