Disruptive Chinese Passengers Cause Flight to Turn Back to Bangkok
Friday, December 12, 2014
PHUKET: A dramatic video shows the aftermath of an altercation that led to a pilot returning a China-bound flight to Bangkok after tourists scalded a flight attendant.
Budget airline Thai AirAsia Flight FD9101 turned back to Don Muang from its path to Nanjing. On the ground again, the pilot confronted four Chinese passengers .
The video, taken by another passenger, surfaced today on Khaosod and Voice TV online.
A statement from AirAsia said Thursday's charter flight turned around when a woman passenger berated a crew member and threw hot water at her in an altercation over seating.
Several other passengers became involved in the dispute.
Colleagues on the flight treated the attendant while the pilot turned back. On the ground, the pilot and the passengers reached ''an amicable conclusion.''
In a video posted on the Internet by China National Radio, a man was also seen standing up in the cabin, making a threat to bomb the plane. The airline statement did not mention the bomb threat.
It remains unclear whether the four disruptive passengers were allowed to rejoin the flight.
In February, 27 members of a Chinese tour group were ejected from a China Eastern Airlines flight before takeoff from Phuket after brawling over seating arrangements.

Amicable solution? Glad that worked out... We do not know exactly what happened, but it could have been much more harsh e.g. the out-of-control tourist jailed and fined for assault + forcing the plane to turn around.

People should take it easy about those seat arrangements - it's few hours flight! You will be re-united with your precious ones just after that and for the whole duration of holiday.
When I went 1st to Thailand, it was a charter flight, the only time I took such arrangement to here, and as often for charter flights seats numbers were not arranged - it was so amusing to watch how much efforts and time people are spending to sort out those geometric puzzles of seats' distribution , giving that flight had two legs and change of an aircraft after completion of the 1st.
Me and GF were so relaxed about these arrangements, so finally our seats become adjacent on its.
On the way back I had to fight with wide-mouth exPM's wife who took already occupied seats, quite successfully - but it wouldn't big deal if not.
Absolutely no need to throw hot drinks in the face for that.

@Sue:
You mean Yingluck??? Name dropping, as you so often do, bears no relevance to the topic in question other than to achieve a self-gratifying level of social acceptance and/or ego boost. So easy to see you suffer from insecurity.

I would gladly take this flight if I could. Usually transit through hkg. It's a charter and not shown on AA website. Any ideas?

@Pete
Not Yingluck, Thatcher, of course, Mr.Hand! As it was her who was the wife of exPM.
Would like to suggest you to take once a charter flight, or at least RyanAir flight when back in UK, then you will witness some relevant self-gratifying correlation between a behavior of passengers on board and that of the Chinese tourists, as described in the article.
But don't take too much chilly at breakfast - as it will only rise your feeling of insecurity to the next level when someone highly irritated by an unavailability of window seat, and, of course also by the shape of the ego of Mr.Hand, will decide to shape it well, and to deliver a healthy ego-boost by the mean of bumping!

@Sue:
You see the three question marks? Just attempting similar abstract confusion and distortion that you write about, of course you would have said the ex PM's ex wife or whoever ex PM's wife uses charter flights. Certainly something of a rarity for any ex PM's wife or ex wife to use a charter flight like you. Going with Mr Hand has its own rude connotations, so that could explain your blurb, travelling with Master Bates as well were you?

Pete, I think Sues' Mr Hand is in fact our own politian Clive Palmer and his wife Mrs Palmer.
It was just the translation!

There is no need to publish transcripts of your dreams of your childhood molestation, Mr.Pete Hand!
And there is no misquotation, mistranslation or rearrangement in the sense that Time passes Slow in the Peteland Low.
Of course I celebrate the use of charter flights to Thailand being limited to just once per lifetime both by exPMs and all their ex-wives, providing the former don't grab funds from a valet room of a Central Bank, but the latter to do not flex their mouthes out of shape to more than 2X of size of and do no entertain their throats at depth in excess 1.5X of the dimensions of a junk of the respective ex-husband while aboard.
Otherwise a correlation link between the published in the article Chinese tourists pattern of behavior and the one of collective ego of exPM exwives while aboard of a charter flight to/from Thailand transposes into a casual relation.

Sue: Be careful what you write: such slurring remarks about dreams of childhood molestation could constitute a libel. I'm surprised the editor allowed it. Prior to that I was baiting you for your lack of understandable English which, judging by other people's comments, veered from hilarious to pitiful, and still does.

Can one anonymous entity online be libelled by another anonymous online entity? Better not to confuse anonymous comments with reality, Pete.
Ed: Under Thailand's computer crimes act and defamation laws, who knows?

Those laws, while sometimes misused, are real-world laws. I would suggest that nobody anywhere has ever sued over an insult delivered from one anonymous commenter to another anonymous commenter. But as you say, who knows? The opportunity is there to set a precedent.
Sue, I never realised Sir Dennis was also a PM. Are you sure you re not mixing up that which was often reported in the British media that the PM had real balls!
I suppose at least you had something in common to discuss on the flight.
Just who you were seated next to has become a bit confusing, or otherwise I'm just beginning to understand you, in which case I am confused!

Manowar,
may I finally ask you, has your active presence during many years on the forum of Australian female magazine helped you finally to realize your dream of gender transgression! and at which point of the Journey you are currently?
Was that the medical museum of Siriraj Hospital whom you have donated your balls ? Some bastards Americans recently stolen some materials, there were publications about this in the media, did you checked the list for your former organs?
And, hasn't recently a Chinese tourist, while flying a charter flight and not finding the random allocated to him seat right beside of you as pleasurable, bumped his heavy travel bag into your head, has he?

Dearest Sue, you have finally exposed my past. Yes, I used to be a fashion model but decided to change sex to become, well best to just say, what I am today.No more strutting my stuff on the catwalk, no more jimmy choos, pumps and allanahs hills are no longer my desire.
Anyway, back to 3 steps off topic, I believe I have solved your PM issue.
What you in fact heard was the person who sat next to you was the wife of a PM. The agricultural industry commonly use this as short for Poultry Manager who main job is hatcher and chicken sexer.
You probably dont realise but a chicken sexer is one of the most difficult jobs. Many chicks are initially identified as small hens, raised as hens but in end end found to actually be just a small cock.
I only raise this to inform you that your situation is quite common.
Anyway, cant stay long today, Ive just received this months Dolly and Womans Weekly and I believe Jimmy is coming over to clean his stuff out of my closet.
