PHUKET: A debt-collector from a neighboring province appeared to have been speeding when his motorcycle crashed and he broke his neck last night, police said today.
''He was wearing a helmet but that did not save him,'' Lieutenant Thanom Thongpan, from Tachatchai Police Station, told Phuketwan.
The man crashed through road works into a ditch on a sharp bend in Thepkasattri Road as he headed back to Krabi about 7.50pm, Lieutenant Thanom said. Police found 42,000 baht in his possession, which they believe included the debt he had collected in Phuket Town earlier in the day.
Relatives collected his body from Thalang Hospital to take back to Krabi.

Speeding on Phuket can kill you. Drive with care, and adjust speed to road condition/situation. Simple and clear.
Lucky no other road users were involved/wounded/killed.
