PHUKET: A Chinese guest plunged to his death from the fifth storey of a resort on Phuket early today.

Anjun Wang, 41, had been drinking close to the beach from 11pm to 1.30am at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort with his wife, according to a police investigator.

The couple returned to their room and soon after Mr Wang plunged from the balcony, an officer said. His body was taken to Patong Hospital.
