PHUKET: A family in Phuket's Srisoonthorn district thought they heard a cat meowing loudly about 10.30pm last night and went to investigate, finding a newborn girl had been left outside their home, wrapped in a blanket. Police are keen to contact the mother in the belief she needs help to cope. The babe was 3.75 kilos and healthy, according to nurses at Thalang Hospital. They reckoned she was two days old.
