Posted by James on May 19, 2014 13:11 Well said Pete... the attitude is "move along everyone, nothing to see here." Posted by J on May 19, 2014 17:11 @Pete, the opposite! I just read the crazy news in the Online Nation, that Thailand believes it will be removed from the UN Human Rights Watch List! Based on improvements! Horrible! It reads like you can bribe the Americans also! Oh that is nothing new. Posted by PhuketGreed on May 19, 2014 18:14 Editor Comment: Phuketwan carried the Media Release last week, PhuketGreed. |

Whatever happens with/to Andy Hall today will almost certainly ensure that Thailand will remain on the human rights watch list and possibly be downgraded to Tier 3. Thailand couldn't give a damn about the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. That, together with the banning or barring of fair reportage under the computer crimes act adds credence to a downgrade to Tier 3. The foreign ministry says Thailand's measures against human trafficking have improved. Is that so? The world's media thinks otherwise.
