PHUKET: One young Burmese drowned and a cousin is on life support after a Songkran family picnic turned to tragedy north of Phuket today.
The body of Ao, 15, was pulled from water soon after 10am at the beach at Nam Khem village, best known for its tsunami memorial.
A second boy, Ae, eight, was rescued in a coma. He was on life support at Takuapa Hospital in Phang Nga province, across the bridge from Phuket.
