Aussie 'Monster' Accused in Dig Your Own Grave Murder Probe

Monday, March 2, 2015
HOW twice-bankrupted Melbourne businessman Peter Gerard Scully filmed himself allegedly sexually abusing two kidnapped Filipino girls aged 10 and 11 and made them dig what they believed to be their own grave has shocked Philippine investigators.

Already accused of killing a teenage Filipino girl and hiding her body in a septic tank under his "horror" house and sexually abusing a one-year-old baby, new allegations have emerged in the southern Philippines of 52-year-old Scully abusing at least a dozen children for his business selling child sex-abuse videos to internet customers worldwide.

Eleven-year-old Daisy and her 10-year-old cousin Queenie were easy targets for Scully when they were hungry and hanging around a shopping mall in the city of Cagayan de Oro on Mindanao in September last year.

Scully's 17-year live-in partner allegedly approached them and asked "Do you want to eat?" and, after a restaurant meal, they agreed to go to the Australian's rented house in the western part of the city.

Daisy told the Manila-based news site Rappler that Scully videoed them that night while they took a bath and the next day they were told to dig a hole in the backyard and had to keep digging it every day of their five-day ordeal.

The abuses she and her cousin were subjected to were so horrific, she told Rappler in a tearful account, that she considered suicide.

"I wanted to kill myself. I wanted to die that night because I could not bear it any longer," she said.

The cousins were forced to kiss each other and perform oral sex on the man they knew as Peter while being videoed and photographed.

Daisy said Scully's partner once covered her head with a pillow to stop her screaming and crying as Scully continued the abuse.

She said she choked but the abuses continued.

One night, Daisy said she and Queenie (both their names have been changed for this story) were forced to drink alcohol.

She said she lost consciousness and woke up the next morning in the backyard hole she and her cousin were digging.

Daisy said she was told she was put there because she had been crying a lot and calling "for my mama".

The abuses got worse on the fourth day of the girls' captivity, Daisy said.

"They were filming, taking photographs while we dug our graves and they again brought us to their room . . . this time I was tied with nylon cord, my hands, my feet - I could not move," she said.

Daisy said she and Queenie escaped when a door was left open and ran to a local market where their parents work.

Police said when they raided the house, Scully and his partner, a former alleged victim of Scully who is co-operating with police, had fled.

Investigators are piecing together Scully's life since he arrived in the Philippines in 2011 from Melbourne, where he had been implicated in an alleged fraud that cost investors $2.68 million.

Scully has been the subject of adverse findings by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission and Consumer Affairs Victoria.

A home-buying scheme he set up in Melbourne targeted poor people who could not qualify for home loans.

In 2012, the Supreme Court of Victoria banned Scully from operating his custom-designed "Key Home Buyer Program" but he had already left the country.

"There was evidence that Mr Scully is a person who is prepared to push the boundaries of commercial morality and, if liability results, to embrace bankruptcy," Justice Kim Hargrave found.

Philippines police have launched a manhunt for four foreign accomplices who had allegedly been working in Scully's cyber-sex business, which mainly catered to clients in Europe.

Anti-human trafficking agent Eric Nuqui said videos showing the sexual abuse of minors, including a one-year-old baby, were recovered after Scully's arrest.

"There is some sort of systematic torture of children until death," Mr Nuqui said.

Police said they have been hunting Scully since September last year when two teenage girls were allegedly found naked and chained in the bedroom of an apartment he rented.

After he was arrested last week, police found the body of a teenage girl under house he had rented in 2013.

Scully's partner told police he had accidentally killed the girl after promising her impoverished parents he would provide her an education and a better life.

Scully indicated some remorse to journalists while under arrest in Mindanao pending arraignment on multiple charges, including rape, human trafficking, illegal detention and possible homicide.

"I am in the middle of preparing a very in-depth, not just comment, but almost a personal study on this whole history here," he said.

"That's how remorseful I am. I have done nothing bad and I'll write down everything day by day what influenced this."

The death penalty should be carried out in such cases.

Countries kill millions of people in war for far less serious matters than murdering children & raping babies for money & sadistic pleasure. Certain crimes warrant the death penalty - a clear example being "crimes against humanity" where the courts in Nuremberg handed down the death penalty after world war 2.
