UPDATE
Phuket police are keen to talk to neighbor Seri Duangsuwan, 40, about the incident in which a gun was fired in a street yesterday.
Original Report
PHUKET: A couple renovating their property south of Phuket City encountered an angry neighbor yesterday who fired shots in the air - not once, but twice.
The shots carried more power than a stop-work whistle at the couple's home in Vichit, where Waleeporn Hjort-Erick and her Swedish husband Mike, both 41, are extending.
Their renovations project began in April and is due to be finished in 10 days, Khun Waleeporn said.
There was an agreement to not start work before noon and to finish by 4.30pm, she said. But yesterday, the construction gang began sawing wood about 9.30am.
''A neighbor came out into the street, said that he'd had enough, and fired several shots in the air,'' Khun Waleeporn told Phuket City police today. ''The workers stopped for a while, then started again.
''The man reappeared and fired more shots.''
That was enough to stop work for the day. Police aim to find the neighbor.
Can this guy be on San Sabai sharp at 8am?
