Computers were seized on Phuket while in Phang Nga, the DSI, Navy officers, National Resources, local police and Forest Department officials raided a quarry site.
Interests centred on Blue Sands Co, based in the Srisoonthorn district of Phuket not far from tesco Lotus in Thalang.
There, DSI Colonel Paisit Wongmaung confronted policeman Kanongate Palawan, who runs a family business selling construction sand and rocks.
Earlier in Phang Nga, north of Phuket, officers inspected an area of 25 rai in Paklong Tung Mapao where officers say sand and rocks have been stolen from a national park.
''Today we were looking for paperwork to check whether these businesses are legal and pay taxes,'' Colonel Paisit said.
Raids were also conducted on the home of Mano Choonut, a member of the Phang Nga administrative organisation, and Chatchai Phuket Transport, owned by Wongwat Wijidjinda.
Investigators believe the businesses are interconnected.
In July last year, DSI led raids that resulted in the arrest of 15 workers, and the seizure of 17 trucks and eight excavators, along with sand extracting equipment and two guns.
Again and again, a civil servant is implicated in corruption and illegal businessses in Phuket and Phangnga.
When DSI will investigates seriously all civil servants in Phuket, PhangNga and Krabi about their bad behaviors and why they are unusually rich with their meagre salaries of civil servant.
