Tel: 076 254622-23
Open: 11am-midnight
Address: Just around the corner from Bangkok Phuket Hospital at 2/12 HongYok Yutit Road, Sam Kong.
Style: A modern airconditioned restaurant with international and Thai dishes available and a large covered outdoor area. Upmarket wooden furniture and d????cor has helped to make it popular with business people and families.
Price: Inexpensive for an air-conditioned restaurant. 70 baht to 90 baht for most dishes.
Specialty: German recipes are popular, with a large European-style sausage and the Dairy Hut burger available. The Dairy Hut also offers many Thai recipes in its own style.
What the manager says: There are two restaurants here, inside and open-air. We offer Thai, Chinese and Western dishes. We also have live music Monday to Friday evenings and a 150 inch plasma TV for big sport on weekends.
What Phuketwan says: The big cow standing out the front is a reminder of the origins of the local dairy. Consistent in quality and service, the Dairy Hut has become a landmark and standard-setter in Sam Kong, a suburb noted for its good restaurants. At night, outdoors is the place to be, listening to live music or watching the big screen, often simultaneously, under a huge sail-like awning. A very Thai experience.
How to find it: Turn up the road alongside Bangkok Phuket Hospital and you will spy the Dairy Hut on the right. Look for the cow out the front.
Parking: Competitive, but there is usually enough.

One of our favourite places to eat. Was one of the first restaurants I added to my Phuket blog! Parking tip - in the evening, lots of space in the hospital car park. :)
Editor: Thanks for the hint. We'd love more good advice on restaurants!
