PHUKET: Saturday's away game is a chance for FC Phuket to win one out of 10 away fixtures. But on form, only the Hulk's biggest fans are predicting a victory.
Phuket coach Sompong Wattana is far more upbeat about FC Phuket's chances in the Toyota League Cup 2011, a knockout tournament in which FC Phuket has reached the last eight.
''We are now in the final eight and we should get through to the final four,'' Khun Sompong said. ''It's good for our side to still be in the hunt for a trophy.''
His confidence is justified because the side that FC Phuket meets away next Wednesday and again at home in Phuket City on August 24 is Pattalung FC, no walkover but a competitor in Division Two, one division below Phuket.
To lose away on Saturday to JW Rangsit and again on Wednesday would, of course, be too much for Hulk fans to contemplate.
FC Phuket has entered the second half of the Division One season with a better playing squad and a stronger mindset, so there's no reason why Hulk goals shouldn't come in both games.
While FC Phuket, now lying mid-table, is not likely to reach the heights of Division One's top sides this season, the team can at least show enough from now on to give fans hope for next season.
A starring role in the final four of the Toyota Cup would put some green and tasty icing on the Hulks' 2011 cake.

Lets see how the coach and the team react to the 1st loss under the new coach's reign. Squad building for next season and a big push for the premier league should now be the focus but this cup run is great and its now!!
Away games are usually too far to drive to but this one is doable so lets go for it and load up the trucks Burmese style with 20 in the back!!!.....shotgun for me tho
