PHUKET: A midweek clash that drew almost 4000 fans in Phuket City saw Phuket FC win 2-1 over Sri Racha and boost hopes for promotion from Division One.
Much of the excitement was crammed into the first half with the visitors scoring first to take the lead. But within three minutes, Phuket had equalised.
Right on halftime, Phuket fired home the second goal to take the lead that allowed them to run out eventual winners.
''It was a very good game,'' one fan enthused. ''Looks as though Phuket FC will deliver on some of its promises this season.''
