PHUKET Governor Dr Preecha Ruangjan and his wife hosted some 500 local political players, media and charity representatives in an evening of food, song and good cheer at his residence in Phuket City last night.
Among the celebrants at the joint Governor-Phuket Red Cross party were Phuket Police Commander Apirak Hongtong, Phuket International Airport General Manager Wing Commander Wicha Nurnlop, Phuket City Mayor Somjai Suwansupana and OrBorJor President Paiboon Upatising.
Governor Preecha took to the stage to sing three Thai country songs, followed by singing performances by Major General Apirak and Khun Paiboon.
In thanks for their help in working for Phuket, partygoers were each given a one-kilogram bag of rice, autographed by the Governor.
