Vice-Governor Niwit has been asked to examine any problems in Phuket's Thalang district, and began first with Kamala, home to FantaSea, on instructions from Phuket Governor Tri Augkaradacha.
''We asked FantaSea if they had problems,'' Vice Governor Niwit said. ''I invited the Mayor of Kamala as well to discuss issues along the beach.
''Tourists have complained often about tuk-tuks. Complaints have come locally and through the embassies as well as the Tourism and Sport and Foreign Affairs ministries. We want to do our research to find out precisely what is happening.''
The new approach will see Governor Tri remaining as the person who has the task of solving tuk-tuk related issues in Patong.
The other two Vice Governors will be given one of Phuket's districts to oversee. Each of the three vice governors are former directors of Phuket's administrative districts - Kathu, Thalang and Muang.

Research? Umm, what research? Everyone, from the top to the bottom knows what's going on, but there's way to much tea money involved to do anything about it.
Are the authorities actually trying to convince people that they actually don't know what transpires? Does it Take the Governor, three Vice Governors, Mayors, Top Police collectively to figure this out?
If only I had the talent to make this stuff up... what a sitcom that would be.
