PHUKET: Police arrested two truck drivers yesterday and accused them of stealing and reselling motorcycles for a song in a scam.
Patrol police pulled over Burmese Bobo Ong, 25, in Yaowarat Road, Phuket City, and discovered his new motorcycle had an old registration sticker.
Further investigations led to an apartment behind Ko Sitwiharn Temple on Thepkasattri Road where they found an array of six motorcycles, all stolen.
In the apartment belonging to Buncha Kaikor, 37, they found more old motorcycle registration stickers.
The pair worked as truck drivers at GT Homemart in Chalong. Bobo told police that Khun Buncha had sold him the new motorcycle for 4000 baht.
Khun Buncha said he stole and sold on motorcycles to fund his nightlife.

Why is it that the police often crack jokes with suspects? It looks bizarre and makes them not seem serious about doing a serious job?
Fancy the suspect having a laugh about the thought of going to jail!
