Pongpon Kerdchoi, confessed larger half of the ''Fat-Thin Gang''

Phuket Police Slim Down Fat-Thin Knifepoint Robbers

Thursday, October 21, 2010
PHUKET police have arrested one of two men they dubbed ''the fat-thin gang'' who used a knife to rob people in the streets of Phuket City.

Pongpon Kerdchoi, 24 - the hefty part of the duo - was arrested and admitted to four knifepoint robberies during Tuesday and Wednesday this week in Phuket City.

The fourth and final robbery was the most lucrative, with 10,000 baht handed over by the victim.

But it also led to Khun Pongpon's arrest. The victim noted some numbers on the red licence plate of the getaway vehicle.

That proved to be sufficient for police to arrive on Khun Pongpon's doorstep in Vichit, south of Phuket City, and arrest him soon after.

Phuket police are still looking for his alleged partner in crime, the relatively slim Latchai Limsakul.

So then in SOME circumstances a license plate number can be traced back to the owner? Seems this is selective.
