Phuket Hospital Gains New 'Phuket Holiday Dialysis Centre'

Tuesday, November 1, 2011
PHUKET: The new Phuket Holiday Dialysis Centre was opened at Bangkok Hospital Phuket in Phuket City today.

The eight beds in the unit on the private hospital's second floor are expected to be welcomed by dialysis patients who live on Phuket or who want to take a break on Phuket.

Six of the beds are in an open ward, with two beds in more private quarters. All beds have laptops so patients can amuse themselves during the process, which can take three hours.

About 30,000 people in Thailand need regular dialysis. Three sessions per day will be available at the new unit, first of its kind on the island.

Cost of each treatment is expected to be 3000 baht.

Hi, We have booked a holiday to come to Phuket. We will be in Bangkok from 12/6/12 to 16/6/2012 and fly to Phuket and will be there from 16/6/12 to 26/6/2012.
Could you please advise the cost of treatment along with a fax number and contact details for my dad's nurse. Also, is there somebody who speaks Australian?

Regards,
Shereen
