PHUKET: A 61-year-old Frenchman was found dead yesterday by a maid when she checked at his large central Phuket house.

The man is believed to have died from a heart attack, according to a nurse at Patong Hospital, where his body was taken by Kathu Foundation paramedics.

The maid found the man about 10am in a bedroom at the large house near Phuket Country Club, which is popular with golfers.

Phuketwan has been given a name but will not publish it until relatives have been notified.
