Staff working at two nightspots were arrested in ''sting'' operations by police posing as customers looking for drugs about 7.20pm on Thursday.
The first arrests came at the Tiger Bar, where officers apprehended waiters Apinan Nearirod, 23, and Kerngsak Kanjanasiri, 24, with what they say was a haul of methamphetamine: 300
yah ba tablets and 10 small bags of
yah ice.
From what they told at the Tiger Bar, police then moved to Soi Paradise and the Kador Bar, where they arrested two dancers, Napatsakorn Tongsri, 36, and Samas Pongsawat, 24.
Patong police say Khun Napatsakorn was in possession of nine small bags of
yah ice while Khun Samas had four bags.
Police say they were told the drugs were intended for sale to tourists and other workers in the Patong nightlife scene.
Because the charges involve illegal drugs, the four accused will be held without bail until the court sets a date for their hearings.
