Philippine authorities are moving to protect public decency on the beaches of Boracay island after a television crew filmed two naked couples making out in public on New Year's Day, the local mayor said.

Elephant conservationists called on the government to rescue the remaining beasts before tourism was affected. As you are well aware, Dave, that's a total lie. I can't imagine why you'd say such a thing. Clearly, you must lead a sad, sad life. I feel sorry for you. And of course, you must be a vegetarian.

Sorry Ed, you're right.. I know very well how Thais venerate elephants, but in these modern times (unfortunately) elephants are useful only for making money and mostly used to enjoy the tourist with all the consequences.. the last one (when tourism declines) is to be butchered.. very very very sad to hear that.. And yes, when I see how day by day on this island the environment is raped I become very very sad...
