''I am sad and confused and I have a headache,'' Mt Palpost said before declining a Phuketwan request to explain.
Mr Palpost, 23, grieving at the sudden death of his girlfriend, Koramal Chittangkul, 52, will probably not be questioned further by investigating police.
Talk that a murder was being investigated was wrong, said Lieutenant Thanapob Rattanaburi of Cherng Talay Police Station: ''We think it is far more likely that she killed herself.''
Mr Palpost returned to Khun Koramal's house in Cherng Talay about midnight after leaving briefly for a drink and could not get a response from inside, police were told.
Kusoldharm Foundation workers found Khun Koramal inside, hanging from packing twine.
Neighbors told police that the couple argued almost every night and Khun Koramal appeared to be jealous whenever younger women paid attention to her younger boyfriend.
Mr Palpost told Phuketwan today that he had been on Phuket for 17 months as a tourist.
After interviewing Mr Palpost, police said he did not appear to be behaving suspiciously in any way. Nothing unusual was found in a medical examination of the body at Thalang Hospital.
''If the family wish to have Khun Koramal's body autopsied, they will have to send it to Bangkok or Surat Thani at their expense,'' he said.
Thirty year age differences (either way) in a marriage can be "problematic" for many reasons.
With a 15 year age difference between my wife and I (married in 2008 in Phuket) - I am quite cognizant about half the "problems" already..

Whether you are younger than she is, farang888, or older, attributing problems to age differences is often just an excuse.
