PHUKET: A bit of rain does fall on Phuket and it meant that the storm-interrupted June 9 match that Phuket FC began against PTT Rayong was only finished tonight.

The remaining 40 minutes was played in dry weather and the drought of goals continued, with the scoreline ending in a 0-0 draw.

As PTT Rayong is second on the Division One table and Phuket is languishing at eighth spot, that wasn't a bad result for Phuket.

After Wednesday's 5-0 defeat by Premier league club Muang Thong United in the FA Cup, Phuket FC and its coach could feel a little relieved.

It's back to business as usual next Saturday when Phuket take on Bangkok, currently lying third, away.
