PHUKET: An alert employee at a health food store in Thailand sparked the arrest of an American wanted for sexual assault charges involving a 13-year-old girl, says a US news outlet.
KHOU 11 News reported that police in Houston had been looking for 41-year-old fitness instructor Forrest Wayne, who was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to Houston police, Wayne had sexual relations with the girl from July to October.
He met the victim while he was working as a personal trainer at the Westside Tennis and Fitness club, KHOU 11 said.
Police reported that Wayne would take the girl to a motel along the 9500 block of the Katy Freeway where the two would have sex.
KHOU 11 News, which first reported the story last week, was told by investigators that Wayne was in a health food store in Thailand when an employee became suspicious.
The employee entered his information into an Internet search engine and found Wayne was a wanted man. Wayne was arrested in Patong on Phuket by local police.
He has since been handed over to Thai Immigration officers on Phuket. They were coordinating his transfer to Bangkok, where American authorities will seek his extradition as soon as possible.

i can't help wondering what he could have been doing in a health food store to arouse that kind of suspicion from the employee?
