PHUKET: Sailors from the destroyer USS Pinckney took part last weekend in a community service project with Phuket volunteers to give parts of a local school a much-needed coat of paint.

Benefitting from the spruce-up was Muang Phuket School, and joining the 39 Pinckney volunteers were students from British International School Phuket QSI International School of Phuket.

In exchange for their hours of effort, Phuket Navy League Director Brad Kenny and the other local volunteers were given a VIP tour of the destroyer.
