Why do these deluded people persist in thinking they're entitled to come to Thailand to claim their free hand-outs and add to the growing crime problem in places like Phuket? They are too shiftless to work and everyone knows that a large percentage of the crimes committed against tourists, mostly robberies, are committed by these undocumented immigrants. Posted by Sergey on November 11, 2012 10:30 Editor Comment: Sounds like you're working overtime to prove your capacity for bigotry and ignorance, Sergey. A shameful first comment. No truth in anything you've said. Total BS . . . why waste your time? "Pushbacks" or "Help oN" Thailand has less funds than Australia but Australia processes people arrving illegally by boat. It is inhumane to make these people stay at sea in what are most the time very unsafe boats. I think they should be allowed on shore and asked if they want asylum. Those who do can apply those who don't can carry on. They are human. Posted by Happy Farang on November 11, 2012 20:56 This is simply criminal. These are human beings that have lost everything. What is "disgusting" is nobody is helping them. And I am afraid that The Obama/Clinton visit will make matters worse. Everything Clinton touches turns to crap and Obama, well...He is just Obama. I cannot begin to feel the terror the Rohingya must feel. And New Yorkers think they have it so bad...Laughable. Anyone who thinks they have a tough life should thank their lucky stars they are not Rohingya from Rakhine state.
And why is Aung San Suu Kyi so quiet on this subject? Afraid to speak out?
