Actually Peter Greste, Al-Jazeera journalist, holds dual citizenship, not only of Australia, but as well of one Northern European country, that allowed its Foreign Office and as well the EU, to enter the field.
But... stupidity of the whole political current situation in Egypt is that Mubarak's remnants are now in the power, and US and Israel actively support the current regime in its essence , and - accordingly that effectively means they support its actions. I am not a fan of Muslim Brotherhood, but it is easy to see why Egyptians favors the group - and why they hate US (and West in general), if the West always support corrupt military hunta. It seems it would be difficult to get positive resolution for him and many other people trapped in hands of Egyptian state power structures.
