THE ONLINE news and information site that has set new standards in visual journalism in Thailand now has a new attribute - phuketwan.com can be read in the Thai language. In fact, it can be read in German, Swedish, Japanese, Mandarin . . . just about every language, thanks to Google Translate.
There's an icon on the Phuketwan front page that makes switching languages easy for everyone. While the translation is not perfect, at least now, for the first time, Thais can get the gist of the innovative site that has been creating so much interest among their English-speaking friends.
Phuketwan is seen as the fastest and most reliable source of news in English (and now other languages too) for both residents and visitors to the Andaman region.
It also adds superb analysis of all the important issues . . . and great photos. Now people who do not necessarily rely on English can see what the fuss is all about.
Phuketwan.com, for the best coverage of news from all over that's relevant for Phuket and Thailand. And now you can try us in Thai.
Tell your friends . . . and please give Phuketwan a trial today in any language you read, and tell us how well it works.

interesting to see your response from Thai readers - often when I've used internet translation programs my content loses all sense!
Any option for an Australian translation? ie no big words please.
Good luck, it's a great concept.
