WEDDING bells for Kate and William in London next Friday will be accompanied by a different kind of ceremony involving Bell's on the distant holiday island of Phuket.
While billions around the world waits to see The Dress and The Happy Couple, a whisky collector on Phuket aims to pay his own special tribute.
Over the years, Wasin Noijeen, 61, has collected about 100 special commemorative bottles of whisky.
Among them, a Bell's ''Specially selected Scotch Whisky To Commemorate the birth of Prince William of Wales, 21th June 1982.''
In a tribute to the happy couple and their desire to right many of the world's wrongs, the collector plans to auction the special bottle.
The proceeds will be given to Phuket's largest public hospital, Vachira Hospital Phuket, on condition that they be used to help treat patients suffering from conditions related to alcohol.
Details should be available early next week.
