Natalie Glebova with her new, cuddly friend in the Facebook video

Tourists Warned About Gibbon Touts

Thursday, May 7, 2015
PHUKET: True to her word, former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova has produced a powerful Facebook video advising tourists not to make the mistake she did and become a victim of the gibbon touts on Phuket and in nearby tourist destinations.

All that's needed now is for Rihanna, Beyonce and some other big name celebrities to make the same admission. Ms Glebova has already told Phuketwan that she will never ride an elephant again because of the way young animals are mistreated.

What a lovely lady and all round sterling human being. Let's hope her FB page starts to have a greater effect.

If Law enforcement was in the least bit effective there would not be any gibbon touts working in the first place.

It's very powerful stuff when brains, beauty and youth come together in one package - for the common good of human animals AND regular animals.

Why going back to things that happened with these celebrities? I know, because their fans would follow them, and do the same. Why not concentrate on things that are happening right now? I know personally people that keep slow loris just for fun. And it's not the first one that dies in this person's hands. If i report this, i would have to look over my shoulders for a very long time. This person knows a lot of influential people, and is not even Thai. Where could i safely report this?

Gibbons agree, unemployed elephants would end in unpleasant endings for these gentle giants.
