They aint. Posted by Arun Muruga on August 29, 2015 18:09 I fully agree with Hugh Jarse.I drive on this road almost daily and the Taxi and Minivan drivers overtake in curves etc. and keep very high speed. The most dangerous Drivers in Phuket are the "So Called" " Professional Drivers" Posted by Mj on August 29, 2015 18:57 Great! I was already having sleepless nights coz of the lack of flipping over vans/busses. Luckily 1 again finally.! Posted by Kurt on August 29, 2015 19:45 There is a reason that i will never take a minivan to anywhere, and this is exactly why. The most stupid, wanna be formula 1 drivers behind the wheel, with no responsibility whatsoever for the passengers. But of course, as so many times, our dear Ed does not agree, as he mentioned in another great article that Phuket would be better off being a minivan only province. And as we all know, he will react to my comment like a child that didn't get his milk and honey in the morning. Posted by Carl on August 29, 2015 23:37 Editor Comment: There are good minivan drivers and bad minivan drivers and it's not the minivan's fault, Carl. Most people can figure out that although driving skills need to be improved, minivans are not going to block traffic as regularly as large buses and trucks. Glad to be back in the UK, life is more protected here. It really would be nice to have some police speed and traffic regulation checks on this road. The number of vans and taxis cutting corners, passing dangerously and failing to give way at a clearly designated "Stop' sign at the Kathu T Junction, makes this route a regular short-cut to disaster.Accidents daily since the Thepkasattri and Bipass roadworks.
