ANYONE who has lost electrical equipment to thieves over the past three years in Phuket City will probably be relieved to know the ''Broken Window'' pair are now behind bars.
Thanapon Somnuekton, 33, and Apisit Choupak, 24, confessed to smashing glass panes at night to steal electrical equipment over a long period.
Their last theft, the men confessed, was at Phuket's landmark Software Park in Chao Fa Road West on January 25.
Police arrested the men for testing positive to methamphetamine use then at the pair's Rassada apartment found 66 types of electrical goods including eight laptops, two PCs, dvd players, scanners, keyboards, four digital cameras, even a selection of tennis rackets and golf clubs.
Khun Thanapon, from Surin, said he had served a jail term in Bangkok for selling drugs and decided to move south to Phuket. The two men always just used the one motorcycle in their raids, and always at night, police said.
