The Moroccan man is attended by a medic after being stabbed last night

Phuket Sex Tourist Stabbed As Bar Hostess Rejects Second Advance

Wednesday, November 30, 2011
PHUKET: A Moroccan who tried to have seconds with a Phuket bar hostess was knifed in the leg after he refused to take No for an answer last night.

The couple had sex once at At Srirapee Apartment, Nanai Soi 8 in Patong at an agreed price of 3000 baht but the Moroccan did not stop when the woman told him that another round would cost him an additional 3000 baht. (Post-flood inflation appears to have had a dramatic impact on the Phuket sex industry.)

Patong police said that Mohammed Mimouni, 24, whose documents also described him as a student from France, met a 21-year-old woman in a bar in Patong's famous Soi Bangla walking street, and the pair went back to the apartment.

After one round of sex, Mr Mimouni insisted on more. As he grappled with the woman, she grabbed a knife that she kept for her protection and stabbed him in the leg.

Kusoldharm Foundation medics and police were called. Mr Mimouni was recovering today in Patong Hospital.

Wow. Attempted rape or refill gone wrong. Awkward business.

At 3000 baht he should have had three sessions.

Where did she keep the knife is what I am wondering. When naked, there are not too many places to hide it.

Yea, 3000 baht, that says that she did not want to be there in the first place, and another 3000 for a second round LOL ! it was obviously his first time there and did not understand respect, jai yen, and understand no means no !

Hmm.. And I thought that prostitution is illegal in Thailand? I am sure the Baht 3000.- was just for a massage or to accompany the tourists!

I completely agree with Anonymous, but suburbs of Rabat not Paris.

How accommodating for the police to let Phuketwan photograph this punter's passport. Did he commit a crime? I hope his mum and dad aren't reading this.

Some do not appreciate the women, just pay them as less as possible !! Some should go have a look in the mirror !! then they would see that 3000 was very little !
It is up to the girls what they take ! No idiots shall dictate that at all !

Wow, Bt 3000 a pop ?

So if the law is followed, the woman would be charged for prostitution and assault with a deadly weapon and the man with attempted (and painfully failed) rape.

Then again one can argue that since money changed hands, he had the right to avail of the "product" or that the woman had the right to say no.

It leaves only one indisputable charge to be pressed to which the perpetrator has confessed to.

Prostitution.

Nobody will be charged with anything.

3,000 baht, LMAO. What a newbie. I NEVER pay over 500 a session unless the girl is a stunner and/or has impeccably good English, in which case she might get a raise to 1000. Back in the States, I wouldn't even get a kiss on the cheek for that.

Jean-Paul Patrick: No, look at his passport. He was resident in Paris. The kind of person who makes 50% of Paris a no-go area.

She was smarter than him, she ended up with 3000baht ( 3 times more than the going rate) and he ended up in hospital.

I'm guessing there was a language barrier and the deal was not clearly understood, and for 3000 you would be looking at 3 days.

It's so pathetic. I'm quite shocked that there are so many of you grubby bastards out there. Human trafficking (including children) for sex is the fastest growing organised crime in the world. People taken from their homes and sold to brothels, for no pay and no rights. 'Sex tourists' are feeding that industry. I hope you all rot.

Editor Comment:

Prostitution is hardly the kind of industry that deserves popular support anywhere, but Thailand has been active in reducing the involvement of children. Trafficking and ''slavery'' is actually more iniquitous these days in Western countries, including Britain, the US and Australia.

The case, the comments and to a certain extent the article itself (why a picture of the passport?) are a very good exemple of rampant racism.

@laude, in what way can it be racist, they publish passports from many countries, I think you are another person who uses the "racism" word far too often and get it wrong, go look up the meaning of the word.

And why would that be, because his origin is mentioned? Now IMO keeping the origin quiet would have been racism.

@stevenl, NOTHING in this story discriminates against him because he is Morrocan, but it does serve to identify him..check wikipedia for discriminate, also check for racism

If most of the articles about people being mugged or stabbed on this blog display their passports whatever their nationality then you are right about the article and I am wrong.

But that clears the article only...

Claude, it's obvious to most readers that we use passport photos when we don't have other photos available. The use of a passport photograph has no other significance.

Indeed. I just feel that using the photograph on the passport is one thing but providing a full scan of the passport with information such as the date of birth, passport number and home address is another. I think there's no need for those data to be publicly displayed.
