The two drugs suspects displayed by Phuket police to media yesterday

Phuket Police Seize House, Cars, Bikes of Drugs Suspect

Tuesday, July 7, 2015
PHUKET: A host on the Phuket-Hat Yai bus route has been accused of delivering drugs to the holiday island, according to two men arrested with large amounts of illegal drugs.

Phuket police seized two cars, two motorcycles, a house and the land title deed with a total value of two million baht from one of the suspect, Jaruk Sitthisak, 41.

He was caught with a stash of 2978 ya bah tablets and 174.53 grams of ya ice when police pulled him over in a car driving through Phuket City on Friday. He attempted to flee on foot and the drugs were latest found at his house.

With Khun Jaruk at a media presentation yesterday at Phuket Police headquarters in Phuket City was Anon Pirom, 24.

He was arrested on Thepkasattri Road on Saturday with 10,000 ya bah tablets and a kilo of ya ice.

Passing police recognised him as a man who had recently completed serving four-and-a-half years and their investigations indicated he may serve some more time.

He told police that his drugs came from a conductor on the Hat Yai-Phuket scheduled bus route.

This war on drugs is endless, maybe its time just simply legalize all drugs, unless someone can explain exactly what part of the war on drugs is a success?
