A PHUKET MAN turned a gun on himself after killing his wife with a single shot to the head today. The couple's two children were in the next room.
Police said that Sunthorn Testsud, 42, used a homemade thai pradit and left a note saying: ''Please take care of my children.'' The couple have a son aged 11 and a daughter aged 10.
Khun Sunthorn said in the note that there was 10,000 baht in a bank account and 5000 baht in cash secreted in the apartment that he wanted police to use for the support of the couple's children.
It is believed that the wife he killed with a single shot to the head, Wiwantana Puttawat, 37, had resumed a relationship with an old boyfriend who had recently been released from jail after serving a 10-year sentence.
Khun Wiwantana worked as a golf caddy at Phuket Country Club while Khun Sunthorn rode a motorcycle taxi that operated around the Phuket City bus station.
The family's neighbors at the apartment near the Get Ho temple in Tung Tong heard shots ring out about 8.30am.
