PHUKET: A Swiss man has told police he was robbed by a Phuket ladyboy who also poured water into the fuel tank of his motorcycle.
Robert Decarli, 67, told police in the southern Phuket district of Chalong that he parked his motorcycle near the stadium at Karon beach about 4pm on Wednesday. As he walked away, he was propositioned by a ladyboy.
Mr Decarli, who has a Thai wife, rejected the advances of the katoey. He may have been a little brusque. A short time later, returning to his motorcycle, he saw the ladyboy pouring water into the fuel tank.
He found that stolen from his motorcycle was 160 baht in cash and a Samsung Galaxy, an expensive telephone and mobile computer.
Mr Decarli told police today that he would recognise the ladyboy again.

I thought the main purpose of a mobile phone was to enable anyone to reach you at any time. Leaving it in an unlocked motorbike seems a bit odd somehow.
Similarly, thieves don't usually hang around after nicking an expensive smartphone. Sounds a bit fishy to me.
