PHUKET: The man who told police he killed Phuket journalist Wisut ''Ae'' Tangwittayaporn retracted his confession before fronting Phuket's media this afternoon.
Sometime between his arrest at Cha-Am Police Station, near Huan Hin, and his arrival by helicopter on Phuket, Noppadol Plaisri, 41, changed his mind.
He did admit, though, that he was riding the motorcycle when Khun Ae's killer - named this afternoon as Sanya Kianchoom - pulled the trigger, Khun Noppadol said.
He gave himself up at Cha-Am after learning that police were closing in after tracing him through the hire of a motorcycle in Patong.
He told police that he had been paid 50,000 baht for being one half of the assassination team that gunned down Khun Ae in Phuket's Thepkasattri Road on Thursday morning.

I think "by who" is what we all want to know.
