AN ITALIAN expat resident has told police how he was kicked from his motorcycle and robbed by four youths.
Police believe the gang of four later robbed a Thai woman in a second similar assault about 20 minutes later.
Colonel Wanchai Eakpornpit, chief of Phuket City police station, says police are hunting the gang after the two incidents early on Monday morning.
The Italian, who was named only as Fernando, told police he was returning to Dusit Buri in Rassada, Phuket City, when four youths riding two to a motorcycle kicked his vehicle from under him in Naka Road, Vichit.
They assaulted him about 2am and stole 1500 baht, plus credit cards and a mobile telephone.
Twenty minutes later, a Thai woman, aged 20, was attacked by four youths on two motorcycles in Vichitsongkran Road. She lost 2000 baht, a camera and some papers.
