PHUKET: A Phuket expat resident has been found dead at her up-market home and police believe she committed suicide.
Monika Jurewicz, aged 28, was found hanged by a scarf in the en suite bathroom of the luxurious house she shared with her French husband on Cape Promthep, in southern Phuket.
A golf pro at Phuket's night golf range and nine-hole course, Phunaka, in Chalong, her husband, aged 52, returned home at 9pm to find his wife dead.
A child was swimming in a pool at the house, unaware of what had happened. It is believe Ms Jurewicz was the child's stepmother.
The family had been living on Phuket for about seven years, police said. Officers were told that Ms Jurewicz was disturbed by family problems in Europe.
Her body is at Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City.
