A PHUKET drug dealer has confessed to selling cocaine and ya ice to expats in the Karon, Kata and Rawai areas along Phuket's south-west coast.
Long-time Phuket resident Imran Afzalx, 33, had a Peugeot and three other vehicles confiscated after being arrested by police in a sting operation in which he accepted 30,000 baht for a quantity of ya ice.
The deal with an undercover policeman took place in Rawai about 5.30pm on December 29. Mr Afzalx was arrested and escorted back to his home in Phuket Villa 3, where officers uncovered 31.5 grams of cocaine and 32.8 grams of ya ice.
Four vehicles, including a Peugeot, were impounded along with small digital scales, the drugs and bags for selling small quantities of drugs. Seven bank books were also seized.
Mr Afzalx said he was the Phuket agent for a Bangkok drug seller.
In a crackdown that began on December 27, 20 people were arrested for various drug-related offences, including German Stefan Hutt, 23, who was accused of having been in possession of marijuana in Kamala.
One of the people presented to the media today at Phuket City Police HQ was accused of illegal possession of a revolver.
Phuket Governor Tri Augkaradacha attended the media presentation with Phuket Police Commander Major General Pekad Tantipong.
