PHUKET'S Big C supermarket carpark was the setting for a police pounce to arrest a young couple who admitted selling large quantities of yah ba.
The pair, arrested at 2pm on Saturday, told police they had large quantities of the methamphetamine delivered regularly by bus from Ratchaburi province.
They had rented two rooms at an apartment block in Phuket City, one where Natsuda Narkprasit, 20, stayed and the other for distribution of the drugs.
She and Nared Radomkit, 19, said they were local agents for a much larger dealer in Ratchaburi. Phuket City police were closely examining the telephone numbers on their mobiles.
The Big C carpark on the bypass road was where people picked up drugs, the pair told police. Officers found 400 yah ba in Khun Natsuda's bag and 1800 more at the Phuket City apartment.
The pair said they knew their contact as Pee Sang but did not know more. They are likely to face court on Monday.
