Phuket Beach Drowning Follows Picnic Outing With Thai Whisky

Sunday, October 13, 2013
PHUKET: One man drowned today and two others were rescued after a picnic at Nai Yang beach turned to tragedy.

Lifeguards pulled three men from the water but were only able to revive two of them.

Two other men who did not swim said that the group of five construction workers went to the beach for a picnic with papaya salad and Thai whisky.

Three men ignored red flags and warning signs to go for a swim at the northern end of Nai Yang beach.

The man's body was taken to Thalang Hospital.

Such a terrible shame.

Alcohol and water do not mix except in a glass.
Just like the drunk who went swimming in the Mary River only to become a crocodile snack.
It does not matter how many signs, flags or warnings you put up there will always be people who disregard the warning because they know better.
