PHUKET: Strategic Airlines is to fly to Hawaii - presenting Phuket passengers on the young Australian brand with two new routes to the US - and will change its name to Air Australia.
The name-change for the low-cost full-service carrier comes in October. Flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Honolulu are on sale and begin December 14.
Strategic arrived on Phuket in February and operates four services a week on the important Phuket-Brisbane-Phuket and Phuket-Melbourne-Phuket routes. Both appear to have been successful.
The airline recently lopped some services from Australia to Bali as well as domestic routes but its Phuket routes have not been affected.
As well as gaining regulatory permission to fly to Hawaii the brand has also gained approval for flights between Australia and China.
Strategic also plans to increase services between Brisbane and Bali and open its first major Australian domestic trunk route between Brisbane and Melbourne.

And then after the next fiasco it'll change its name again to Air Dingo, then Air Kookaburra and one year later Air Possum.
