Is a chopper a meat cleaver?

Editor Comment:

Could be, or a machete. All police have is the wound.

A chopper can mean many things, could also be an axe or a male organ.

Er, also a helicopter, Mac. We think we know what kind of chopper was involved. We'll let you figure it out.

2 CCTV cameras cover the area and a police box 10 meters away - anyone taking bets on whether or not anyone ( including the myriad tuk tuk drivers soon to be co-opted as police volunteers!!) saw anything? I'll save my money for the Melbourne Cup.

It's a stroke of genius on the part of the authorities that tuk-tuk drivers will soon take over the role of police in Phuket. That's just what we need, tough policing, shoot first ask questions later, to deal with the rampant criminality (drug and alcohol related crime) sweeping through this island's youth. An ad-hoc approach to problem solving is often seen in Thailand, the great innovator, while Western countries have a too conservative, by the book attitude to law enforcement. Any country where people are not afraid of the police is a weak country.
