PHUKET: The body of a woman was found today in a car in a pond behind Chalong Temple on Phuket. She had been missing for two days.
Local Pinid Inthaisan noticed a damaged tree and wheel tracks beside the pond after his wife Watdhana, 27, failed to return home on Saturday from a night out with friends.
Khun Watdhana had dropped off her friends about 200 metres away from the pond and was heading towards her home nearby, Chalong police believe.
The group had been at a bar in Rawai. Khun Watdhana runs the Fasai Minimart in Chalong, near her home.
Today divers in the pond attached a rope to the Honda Jazz and it was lifted from the pond, with Khun Watdhana's body still inside. The operation took about two hours.
Her body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City.
