AN INDIAN tourist has been killed in a jetski collision off Pattaya and police are keen to interview the rider of the other vehicle, who fled the scene. On one jetski was Uma Dhar Kesarwani, 46, and his daughter, Sakshi, 14. Mr Kesarwani broke his neck in the collision and died in the ambulance on the way to hospital. Sakshi suffered a dislocated hip and a broken jaw and is recovering in Pattaya Memorial Hospital. Mr Kesarwani along with his wife, son and two daughters, hired a jetski from a local operator about 5pm on Thursday before the high-speed collision.
The rider of the other jetski fled the scene, apparently uninjured. Police have a photograph of the man astride the jetski and are keen to talk to him. The fatal jetski collision carried reminders for Phuket of a collision off Patong earlier this year which led to the death of a young Singaporean tourist.
