The three were arrested about 4.10pm yesterday in a part of Phuket City where garbage collectors live in a group of low-rent houses.
Crime Suppression Police, acting on information that teenagers had often been spotted coming and going, raided the house, south of Phuket City.
Arrested were Pakinai Jannoi, 20, and Anongnat Injampa, 24. In the house, officers found 219 ya bah tablets and three grams of ya ice in a pink box.
Police seized three handmade thai pradit guns, each of a different calibre, and a small quantity of ammunition.
In a separate arrest, police held Suriyan Noibuatip, 29, with 70 ya bah tablets and eight grams of ya ice methamphetamine.
All three were taken to Vichit Police Station for questioning.
Several articles referencing arrests for firearms posession indicate "hand-made thai pradit" guns.
The firearms in the photos often do not appear handmade but rather factory built. Could the proper translation actually be "handgun" rather than "handmade gun"?
I am not actually a weapons expert; however, I do live in the United States where there are over 90 guns per 100 residents and which, by some bizarre coincidence, also has the highest firearm murder rate of any developed nation.
Cheers

Editor Comment:
The guns are homemade or adaptations. Yes, they are handguns, too.
