PHUKET: Two men were killed instantly when their motorcycle collided head-on with another motorcycle on the road from Phuket City to Koh Sireh early today.
The two Indonesian fishermen on the other motorbike are both in comas in the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation Hospital.
Investigating police have not been able to talk to the survivors but they believe the two dead men, aged 34 and 30, had been riding towards Phuket City and crashed with the Indonesian fishermen, aged 23 and 24, going in the opposite direction in extremely wet conditions about 1.50am.
''Construction meant there were pools of water on the road and both riders headed for the driest part of the road,'' an officer said.
Police are hoping to interview the injured men as soon as possible. No helmets were found at the collision scene.
